Day 2
The day never ends for a man who strives to be first.
“the day's plan begins in the morning” - Emperor of Ming / Xiao Yi
We were woken up at 6 in the morning, rushing to change our clothes and brush our teeth and went to stand in the corridor where we stood in our line and marched outside for the morning run where we ran 800m and did some stretching before heading towards the canteen where we ate some traditional chinese breakfast: boiled eggs with soup and “Sichuan vegetable” according to the westerners.
After eating we got to learn and get in touch with some guns like the HK416 a german made carbine rifle and the QBZ95 one of the legacy weapons of the chinese army. Then preceding that we did some aim training and used the QBZ 95 and 03 to shoot some targets. I was
terrible with the 03.
After that we had some lunch then did some marching practice, however it started raining again right after dinner so we had to sing again in the dorm halls until the rain ended then we were escorted to the Main Auditorium and watched a movie documentary on the Korean war and showed the tragedies and the glee that the American troops felt bombing civilian areas and how the Chinese used their manpower advantage to push the Americans out.
Showing the resilience of the Chinese and how much they are willing to keep peace in an area.
